Mrs. Davis' Fabulously Famous Oreo Cookies Recipe

If you like Oreo cookies, you will love these home-made Oreo like cookies! The recipe is quite simple and the cookies are delicious and fun to make. These are great for birthday parties, gifts for neighbors and friends, or any other event where you want to show off your baking skills. Be careful who you share these cookies with though; they will be asking you for more!

 

 

 

Ingredients for 2 to 3 dozen:

    Cookies

• 2 boxes of Devil's Food Cake Mix
• 1 cup Shortening
• 4 Eggs slightly beaten

    Frosting

• 1/2 cup Butter, softened
• 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
• 4 cups Powdered Sugar

Cookie Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients in a mixer.
3. Hand Roll into small balls about the size of cherry chocolates.
4. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes only.

Frosting Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients together until you have a creamy filling.
2. Spread filling on flat side of cookie and then sandwich together with another cookie.
