Do you have a CD that will not play? Before you get too frustrated with it, try this simple remedy. One easy fix that has proved quite effective is to simply apply some car wax to the CD and allow to dry. Then buff off the car wax with a soft cloth. Most brands of car wax should work just fine.
We have tried this numerous times on Playstation games with excellent results. You can try this with your X-Box, X-Box 360, WII, DVD's, audio CD's, etc. Worth a try before you toss out the damaged disc!
The car wax fills in the minor scratches on the surface of the CD allowing the disc player to effectively read the data.
You may want to try this the next time you rent a game and it will not play.
